The Hot Spot:"The shelves are wrong" - Alien "Takahashi"Akihiro Kakuta's yell makes viewers burst into laughter (spoilers included)

The final episode of the drama series "The Hot Spot" (NTV, Sunday 10:30 pm) starring actress Ichikawa Mikako was broadcast on March 16th. In the episode, an alien named Takahashi (Kadota Akihiro) who was staying in room 301 of the hotel at the kindness of the hotel manager Okuda (Akihiro Kakuta) encounters a rumored ghost, which caused a stir on social media.

In the final episode, it turns out that Haraguchi (Tsutsui Mariko), the owner of the hotel where Kiyomi (Ichikawa) works, and Mayor Umemoto (Rinko Kikuchi) are secretly connected. Kiyomi, Hatchi (Suzuki Anne), and Minapu (Hiraiwa Kami) uncover the corruption of the two men who are trying to make a huge profit by selling the hotel, and try to save the alien Takahashi.

Takahashi broke into Haraguchi's office to get evidence of wrongdoing, but was unable to get any. Having used his powers too much, Takahashi decided to soak in the hotel's hot springs that day, and at the kindness of the manager, Okuda, he ended up staying in room 301, which was rumored to be haunted... and so on.

In the story, Takahashi goes to a hot spring and crawls into bed in room 301. He is about to fall asleep, but suddenly realizes that the rumored ghost (Urajinuno-san) is right in front of him. Takahashi is surprised for a moment, but then he pulls himself together and says, "Now is not the time for that," and closes his eyes again. The ghost approaches Takahashi without caring, taps him on the shoulder, and tries to get him to turn around, but Takahashi yells, "Can't you stop that already? I don't have time for that now! And I have to be on the morning shift tomorrow!" He then angers Takahashi, saying, "You're not working, so it might be okay, but my livelihood depends on it! I mean, I'm an alien, you know that!", and overpowers him, causing the startled ghost to disappear from the spot.

Takahashi had previously been told by Kiyomi and the others that aliens and people from the future were on "the same science fiction shelf," but he denied it, saying, "I don't think of myself as science fiction." After driving the ghost away, he crawled into bed again and muttered to himself, "To begin with, they're on different shelves."

The scene where Takahashi repels the ghost became a hot topic on social media. Comments such as "Aliens and ghosts are definitely different things," "The scene where he loses his temper at the ghost was hilarious," and "An alien losing his temper at a real ghost is too funny" gathered excitement.
