It has been revealed that the popular Korean drama series "Suspicious Partner," which was broadcast in 2017, will be remade with co-stars Yusei Yagi of the dance and vocal group "FANTASTICS" and Kyoko Saito, a former member of "Hinatazaka46."
The original drama was written by Kwon Ki Yong, and was a hit series that aired on Korea's SBS in 2017, starring Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun as the heroine. The story of a cool protagonist meeting an unconventional heroine and being led around by her, but also being drawn to her, drew attention and became popular in Japan as well.
The remake will be directed by Yasukawa Yuka, who has worked on the TV drama "Love Battle Royale" and the film "My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999," and the script will be written by Masaike Yosuke, who has worked on the film "Haken Anime!" and the TV drama "Japan's Worst Man."
Haruto Tateishi (Yagi), a skilled prosecutor, is mistaken for a molester by Sakura Miyashita (Saito), a legal trainee, on the bus and suffers a terrible experience. Later, he happens to encounter Sakura, who is fighting after her boyfriend cheats on her, and ends up helping her out. This leads to Haruto joining Sakura in her drinking spree, and he is pushed down by the drunk Sakura... A few days later, Haruto meets Sakura again, who has come to take her prosecutor training... This is the story.
Yagi, who has been friends with Ji Chang Wook for a long time, commented, "I never thought I would be able to play the same role, and I feel a strong connection with him." Saito is enthusiastic, saying, "I will do my best to make the Japanese version of 'Suspicious Partner' loved by everyone!"
It will be broadcast on the Dramaism block on MBS and TBS from April 29th. It will be broadcast every Tuesday at 12:59am on MBS and at 1:28am on TBS.

I have had some mutual acquaintances and have been in contact with Ji Chang Wook for some time now, and I never thought I would be able to play the same role, so I feel a strong connection with him.
