It has been announced that the drama "Joyu Meshi" starring Miona Hori will be streamed and broadcast from 7pm on March 30th on the video streaming service "FOD" and Fuji TV's pay channel "Fuji TV TWO". The drama is based on the manga of the same name currently being serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha). The story depicts national actress Izumi Nadeshiko (Hori), known as "the last Yamato Nadeshiko", as she secretly spends a blissful "meal" enjoying local gourmet food. Highlights include the numerous gourmet dishes that appear in each episode and Nadeshiko's various costume changes. Also appearing are SUMIRE, Ogata Sosuke, and Nagase Mari from the girl group "Rain Tree".
Motoki Omori , vocalist of the three-person rock band " Mrs. Green Apple ," will appear in the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan, " starring Mio Imada, which will begin on March 31. It has been revealed that he will play Takuya Ise, modeled after musician Izumi Tasuku. This will be Omori's first time appearing in a drama. Takuya Ise has composed many commercials, movies, television, and radio plays. He is also passionate about creating musicals, and has composed over 15,000 songs in his lifetime. It has been announced that WOWOW's original drama "Hey, Dazai," starring Kei Tanaka and written and directed by Koki Mitani, will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW Prime and WOWOW On Demand in June. It is the third installment in the "One-scene, One-shot Drama" series written and directed by Mitani. Kensaku, played by Tanaka, is an ordinary office worker who admires Dazai Osamu. On the way home from a wedding reception he attended with his wife Miyoko, he accidentally stumbles onto the beach where Dazai attempted suicide. Excited to be in a place associated with Dazai, Kensaku makes his way through a dark cave and finds a man who looks just like Dazai Osamu. Has Kensaku traveled back in time to the era Dazai lived in? The cast for Dazai and others will be announced at a later date.
