The 10th episode of the TV drama " Japan's Number One Jerk Salaryman " (Fuji TV, Thursdays at 10pm), starring Shingo Katori , aired on March 13th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, below) was 3.4% for households and 1.9% for individuals.
The story is about a TV newsman who is involved in a scandal and finds himself at the brink of collapse, but then decides to run for office in order to change Japan, as he wants to create a better society through raising his children. This is the first time in 11 years that Katori has starred in a Fuji TV drama series.
In episode 10, Ippei (Katori) clashes with the ward mayor Hasegawa (Sakai Masaaki) and others over the redevelopment plan for Oedo Ward. He refuses to run in the ward assembly election as a Minseito candidate and declares that he will run as an independent in the "Oedo Ward Mayor Election".
