With status and honor, she reigns at the top of the Ise zaibatsu in both name and reality, and has everything she has. Meanwhile, Yukiya takes a knife in hand and confronts Erika at the Ise family mansion to get her final revenge.
Erika confesses her feelings, saying, "I wanted to show them my worth. My fate and everything... because no one can save me," and tells Yukiya to be happy and forget about her. Yukiya says that he still remembers Erika smiling at him over and over, and presses him, asking, "What was that time about? What was that smile about?" He then reveals his feelings, saying, "You were everything to me back then," and leaves the room saying, "Goodbye." Erika, now alone, recalls the memory of Yukiya handing her a folded paper crane as a child and asking, "Let's play together." Looking at a photo of the two of them, she murmurs, "I wish you happiness."... and so on.
The story also showed Yukiya and Erika three years later. Yukiya runs a children's restaurant, "Hokahoya," with Reo (Nishigaki Takumi), where they see a boy folding paper cranes. The final scene shows Yukiya folding paper cranes alone in his room. Yukiya is folding the cranes halfway through, but suddenly stops for some reason. And the next moment, Yukiya puts all his strength into crushing the crane.
