"Thank you... but I'm sorry. I've decided not to date anyone until my daughter grows up," Hongo replied. Having lost his wife, Hongo said, "I didn't spend enough time with the people I care about. I've always regretted that. I don't want to make the same mistake again."
"I understand," replied Chifuyu. "But Hongo-sensei, are you really treasuring your own feelings right now? Sometimes I get worried. Especially since you're usually so positive and cheerful."
On social media, there were many comments such as, "I hope everything works out for Chifuyu and Hongo-sensei...", "Chifuyu was able to properly express her feelings to Hongo-sensei. But I wonder if it's still difficult for Hongo-sensei to remarry", "Hongo-sensei is a wonderful father. But I hope he gets together with Chifuyu", "The scene where Chifuyu confesses her feelings to Hongo-sensei was so good I cried. I'm so happy that there are people who are watching over them", and "I don't think Hongo-sensei has to try all alone."
There was also a scene where Hongo gave advice to Madoka (Yoshine), who was worried about her future, saying, "I think it's a good idea to think about what you want to do most right now. After all, there's no guarantee that we'll be alive tomorrow, so we have to live in the present."
On social media, there were comments such as, "Hongo-sensei's words carry weight and persuasiveness because they say, 'There's no guarantee I'll be alive tomorrow. I have to live in the present,'" and "When Hongo-sensei first appeared, I thought he was just a playboy, but he's a good father and a good man."
