The first week of the completed preview of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan ," starring actress Mio Imada , which starts on March 31, was held at the NHK Broadcasting Center in Shibuya, Tokyo on March 10, and production manager Kurasaki Ken responded to an interview. He talked about what he was conscious of when working on the drama and about the cast that will appear in the future.
Kurazaki exuded confidence, saying, "I think a traditional approach is important. That goes for the storyline, but it's also powerful that Miho Nakazono has been able to write lines that will really resonate with people of all ages. I intend to sprinkle universal messages all over the course of all 26 weeks."
The year 2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the start of radio broadcasting, and in producing this series to be broadcast at this time, the studio was conscious of "improving the quality of the work."
"That applies to the cameras we use, as well as the staff and cast. I am proud that we have assembled the most amazing cast in the history of Asadora over the past few decades, and there are still other cast members who have yet to be announced. In that sense, I think that the fact that we have gathered a spectacular cast that represents Japan more than any other production is something that is unique to the 100th anniversary of broadcasting," he said.
Also attending the press conference were Imada, who plays the main character, Asada Nobu, and Takumi Kitamura , who plays Takashi Yanai, Nobu's husband.
" Anpan" is written by Miho Nakazono, who is known for the "Doctor X: Surgeon Daimon Michiko" (TV Asahi) series, and tells the story of love and courage that will make you feel the joy of living as Yanase Takashi, who was still a Takashi Yanase at the time, and his wife Nobu Komatsu overcome all sorts of rough seas to arrive at "Anpanman." Imada will play Asada Nobu, who is based on Nobu, and Kitamura will play Takashi Yanai, who is based on Yanase.
