TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Apparition! Ad Town Heaven" (Saturday 9pm) will feature the area around Shin-Egota Station on the Toei Oedo Line, which is located on the border between Nerima and Nakano wards in Tokyo, on its March 1st broadcast.
This is the fifth installment of the program's regular "Not That Series." The name of the station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line, Ekoda, is pronounced "Ekoda," but the name of the station on the Toei Oedo Line, Shin-Ekoda, is pronounced "Shin-Egota." The area around "Egota" is also known as a gourmet town that is "known only to those in the know."
The program will introduce a seafood bowl specialty store that can be enjoyed twice with dashi chazuke, a bakery that is famous for its croissants and flan, a popular bar known for its giant meatballs and charcoal-grilled bread, and Tomatokan, a popular restaurant serving tomato tanmen.
There will also be the finest country soba noodles ground by hand on a stone mill, a direct sales store from a "Tianjin sweet chestnut" factory, and a public bathhouse that is popular with children and sells cheap snacks.
The guests are model and talent Mori Izumi and Seki Futoshi from the comedy duo "Time Machine No. 3."
