OWNDAYS, a manufacturer and retailer of glasses and other products, will release a collaboration item with the popular animation series "Tom and Jerry," called "TOM and JERRY × OWNDAYS," from February 22nd.
In partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, the company is collaborating for the first time with "Tom and Jerry," which celebrates its 85th anniversary this year. The company will release four types of eyeglass frames (two colors each) with motifs of scenes from the chase in "Tom and Jerry."
The lineup includes the "Funny model" (11,000 yen), a metal Boston-style frame with an impressive temple staircase and cheese-like edges nibbled on by Tom and Jerry; the "Chase model" (11,000 yen), a Wellington-style frame with a motif of Tom's hand trying to catch something on the left temple and Jerry with a relaxed expression on the right temple; the "Friendly Face model" (11,000 yen), a Boston-style frame with cute character faces on the temple ends; and the "Cheese model" (13,000 yen), a pop two-way Wellington-style frame decorated all over with cheese, Jerry's favorite food.
Other collaboration-exclusive goods on sale include a glasses case designed to look like a long and thin Tom called "Elongated Tom" (2,000 yen, on sale March 13th) and a glasses cleaner with a waffle-shaped jelly motif called "Waffle Jerry" (1,200 yen, on sale February 22nd).
Additionally, when you purchase the glasses, they come with a comic book-patterned Tyvek glasses case and a cheese-shaped glasses cloth.
