The movie version of "Me & Roboco," an anime based on the popular comedy manga by Shuhei Miyazaki currently being serialized in "Weekly Me & Roboco Jump" (Shueisha), will collaborate with DreamWorks Animation's latest film, "The Wild Robot," and the collaboration visuals have been released. Both films have robots as the main characters, making this a miraculous "robot collaboration."
The collaboration visual is synchronized with the poster visual for "Wild Island Rose," which depicts the latest assist robot Roz running off to help the wild goose Kirari, who she has raised, set off on her journey, and depicts Roboco, a self-proclaimed high-performance maid robot OM (made to order), running around the wild island with her trademark exposed knees. Just like Roz, who walks with animals, Roboco is surrounded by animal characters such as Nyonta and Kumahachi. Following the example of the poster for "Wild Island Rose," which reads, "No. 1 hit in 43 countries around the world!", the collaboration visual is accompanied by the copy, "No. 1 in all knees! A huge hit around the world (expected)."
"Me & Roboco" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in July 2020. Set in the year 20XX, when every household has a beautiful maid robot, the story depicts the comical daily life of Roboco, a maid robot with unconventional behavior, and Bond, a kind-hearted boy. The animated film will be released on April 18th.
"The Wild Robot" depicts the epic adventures of a newly-born robot named Roz and the animals. It will be released on February 7th.
