The seven-member dance and vocal group "BE:FIRST" appeared at a rehearsal for the 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen(General and other channels) held at the NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 29th.
Ryoki (Miyama Ryouki) played Torako's (Ito's) younger brother Naoaki in the NHK Asadora drama "Tora ni Wings" starring Ito Sari. When filming the Asadora, he said, "When I asked my sister, 'Are you going to appear?' she said, 'I'll be watching TV at home at the end of the year.' Then I was surprised to find out that I was going to be the host (laughs). It's very moving, and I think it will be a good way to end the series."
Although he said he had not met Ito during rehearsals, he revealed, "The cast of 'Tiger and Wings' keeps in contact with each other on a daily basis, and we've talked a little about (the Red and White Song Battle)."
Regarding their third appearance in the Kohaku Uta Gassen, MANATO said enthusiastically, "It's the highlight of the year-end, and I hope we can show you the culmination of BE:FIRST's work for 2024."
The 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen will be broadcast on December 31st from 7:20pm to 11:45pm (with some news breaks). Hiroiki Ariyoshi, Kanna Hashimoto, Sari Ito, and announcer Naoko Suzuki will be the hosts.
