Popular band Mrs. Green Apple appeared at the rehearsal for the 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen(General TV and others) held at NHK Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 29th.
When Mrs. Green Apple appeared on a music program at the end of the year, they performed "Lilac" by saying each of the words "help," "help," "take," and "please" before singing.
The topic has also become a hot topic on social media, and when asked "Is there something?" on stage at the Kohaku Uta Gassen and on the 30th at the 66th The Japan Record Awards(TBS), Omori Motoki grinned and said, "I can't say it with my own mouth."
He continued, "That was a joke, but I thought it would be fun to say "help me" on a music program. I wasn't joking. I want to take the Record Awards and the Red and White Song Battle seriously!"
The year 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of her debut, and Omori said, "I would like to directly express my gratitude to all the fans who support me."
Regarding appearing on the Kohaku stage, she said, "This is my second time this year, so I'll be on my toes. Last year was a lot of fun, so I'm looking forward to having fun this year too."
The 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen will be broadcast on December 31st from 7:20pm to 11:45pm (with some news breaks). Hiroiki Ariyoshi, Kanna Hashimoto, Sari Ito, and announcer Naoko Suzuki will be the hosts.
