It was revealed on December 26th that Teruyoshi Uchimura of the comedy duo "Ucchan Nanchan" will be the MC for a segment on the "75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen" (General TV and others), which will be broadcast on New Year's Eve, in the "100th Anniversary of Broadcasting Special Project."
The Kohaku will be broadcasting a "100th Anniversary of Broadcasting Special Project" ahead of the 100th anniversary of broadcasting in March 2025. Uchimura served as the general host of the "Kohaku Uta Gassen" from 2017 to 2020, and will appear as a guest judge at this year's Kohaku. He was scheduled to be the MC for the 100th anniversary of broadcasting project "Minna no Best Kohaku," but will also be the MC for a segment of the project.
In this corner, a special project called "Let's sing and dance! KIDS SHOW" will be presented, in which the performers of the Red and White Song Battle and the performers and characters of "Okaasan to Issho" will put on a special performance.
In addition, as part of the "100th Anniversary of Broadcasting Special Project," a medley of hit songs "Kandagawa" and "Nagorie Yuki," born from the radio that marked the beginning of broadcasting in Japan, will be performed. Uchimura will guide the special session by Minami Kosetsu and Iruka.

The 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen will be broadcast on December 31st from 7:20pm to 11:45pm (with some news breaks). Hiroiki Ariyoshi, Kanna Hashimoto, Sari Ito, and announcer Naoko Suzuki will be the hosts.
