A trailer for Detective Conan: Afterimage of the One-Eyed, the 28th and latest film in the popular anime series Detective Conan, has been released on YouTube.
"Afterimage of the One-Eyed" depicts the past and present events that take place in the snowy mountains of Nagano Prefecture. The trailer begins with Conan muttering, "The day of that accident..." and Yamato Gansuke's blinded left eye beginning to throb. Scenes of Conan clutching his bloodied left eye on the snowy mountain and an avalanche are shown, followed by the line, "What did I see that day...?"
Also appearing are his colleagues from the Nagano Prefectural Police, Gansuke's childhood friends Takaaki Morofushi and Yui Uehara, Superintendent Kuroda, Inspector Megure, Detectives Sato and Takagi from the Metropolitan Police Department's First Investigative Division, private detective Toru Amuro, and the undercover black organization (Bourbon) and public security police officer Rei Furuya, who is adept at using his triple face, and his subordinate Kazami. Kogoro, crying and covering his face, shouts the nickname of a close colleague from his time at the Metropolitan Police Department, telling him, "Don't follow me, this isn't a game."
The "DETECT visual" was also released, featuring Conan laughing fearlessly and Kogoro and Gansuke's sharp gazes on one eye. The movie will be released on April 18, 2025.
