Akira Kawashima of the comedy duo "Kirin" attended the new CM announcement event for the smartphone location information game "Monster Hunter Now" held in Tokyo on December 4th. He shared his daily schedule from Monday to Friday and revealed that he goes to bed at 9pm every night for the TBS morning live show "Ravit!", for which he serves as MC.
The game's theme is "hunting in your spare time." The idea was to find some spare time for the busy Kawashima, and when Kawashima showed his schedule, Inoue Satoshi of "Jicho Kacho," who appeared on stage with him, asked, "Can you really go to sleep at 9 o'clock?" Inoue laughed and said, "I can. If a human wakes up at 5 in the morning," he replied, "I can."
He said that he regularly plays "Monster Hunter Now," adding, "I go to bed at 9 o'clock, so I wake up in the middle of the night to play." He revealed the existence of a "friend" in the game, saying, "I'm not sure if it's someone who lives in the same apartment building and has the same lifestyle, but a guy named "Yasu" (play name) always helps me out. I think he's probably wondering who "Akira" is."
Although he has a busy schedule every day, he said, "I'm particular about what I eat for lunch." "When I wake up, I think, 'What should I eat today? I want to eat the ramen at that place.' (After I finish playing 'Lavit!') I often go to my favorite ramen restaurant in Akasaka, but it opens at 11am, so I play 'Monster Hunter Now' while I'm waiting in line." He revealed his status as a heavy user of the game.
When asked about his aspirations for 2025, he enthusiastically said, "I'm grateful to have been doing a daily program for three and a half years, but I'd like to add another one. If I leave TBS, I think I can make it in time for 'DayDay.' on Nippon Television. I'd like to somehow be able to co-star next to Yama-chan (Yamasato Ryota) (laughs). I'd like to make it two daily programs."
Also in attendance at the presentation were Mai Shiraishi, Macho Aoki, and Niantic's game director Chihiro Kanno. The "novice hunter" duo of Shiraishi and Aoki took on Rajang, and all four of them worked together to battle Tigrex, a monster that appeared for the first time.
