Yuriko Yoshitaka stars in the NHK Taiga drama "To You, Shining" (General TV, Sunday 8:00 pm and others). In the 39th episode "Todaenu Kizuna" broadcast on October 13th, viewers were drawn to Kurazawa Anna, who plays Fujiwara Kenko. Kurazawa became a hot topic for playing a twin-tailed high school girl in "VR Ojisan no Hatsukoi", which aired in the "Yorudora" slot (General TV, Monday to Thursday 10:45 am) on the same station from April to May this year. We will introduce her "profile".

◇How she got into the entertainment industry: She will also appear in "Billion x School" in July

Kurazawa is 19 years old and was born on March 18, 2005. She entered the entertainment industry through the actor audition "LesPros Entertainment 30th Anniversary Project "Main Role Audition"" held by her current agency from 2021 to 2022. In the night drama "VR Ojisan no Hatsukoi," she played the role of Naoki, the avatar controlled by the main character Endo Naoki (Nomaguchi Toru), in the VR world.

She also appeared in the July drama series "Billion x School" (Fuji TV). She played Matsushita Rina, a student in Class Zero who is at the top of the school caste system and has a strong desire for approval, which leads her to try "sugar daddy dating."

"Hikaru Kimi e" is her first taiga drama. The character she plays, Kenko, is the second daughter of Fujiwara no Michinaga (Emoto Tasuku) and his legitimate wife, Michiko (Kuroki Haru). She becomes the wife of the Crown Prince, Prince Itsada (later Emperor Sanjo, Kimura Tatsunari), but is dissatisfied with the fact that the Crown Prince is much older than her. She likes sparkly, extravagant clothes and props.

Kurazawa commented on Kenji, "She's a flashy and free-spirited person. She seems to be strong and happy, but in fact I think she lives with a great sense of loneliness and dissatisfaction."

"Her father, Fujiwara no Michinaga, led the Fujiwara family to prosperity during what is known as the Fujiwara family's heyday, and I think she embodies the pain behind that. Her very human appearance of feeling loneliness and trying to fill that void with something makes you realize that human hearts don't change through the ages."

◇Are you often told that you have a "noisy expression"?

Kenji didn't have any particular highlights in episode 36, "The Long-Awaited Day" (broadcast on September 22), which was Kurazawa's first appearance, but in the most recent episode, episode 39, "Unbreakable Bonds," Kurazawa said that her "free-spirited" side was revealed.

Kenko comes to greet her older sister Akiko (Mikami Ai) as she studies with Mahiro (Yoshitaka). She is set to become the wife of Prince Iejo, but she calls the Crown Prince, who is 18 years older than her, an "old man." She even bluntly says, "We are just tools of our father's (political) power."

Perhaps Mahiro, who is listening nearby, thinks Kenko's remarks are excessive, and tries to admonish her by saying, "Such words will not only belittle you, but I believe," but Kenko refuses to listen, puffing out her cheeks and saying, "She's so noisy."

Perhaps thinking that she would not be understood here, Kenja ended her speech by saying, "Oh, I get it. I'll show you how to live happily," but viewers responded to her free-spirited behavior on social media with comments such as, "She keeps calling me old lol," "Old people are old lol, so harsh lol," and "She speaks so bluntly," among others. They also gave her enthusiastic comments such as, "She's a blunt girl," "The second daughter of Michinaga is very sharp-tongued," and "The second daughter seems strong in a good way."

As you can see from this scene, one of Kurazawa's charms is her ever-changing range of expressions.

In a previous interview, she said, "People often tell me that I have a loud face (laughs). I realized this when other people told me, but I often get told that it's a great weapon in this line of work, so I guess you could say it's one of my charm points," and we have a feeling that she will continue to play the charming role of Kenja as expected.
