It has been announced that WOWOW will broadcast special programs focusing on the solo activities of rock unit B'z guitarist Takahiro Matsumoto and vocalist Koshi Inaba for four consecutive months. The first special will be centered around an interview with Inaba, who went on a national tour with his first solo album in 10 years, "Tadamono," and will be broadcast and streamed on October 19th.
The special, titled "Koshi Inaba Special Interview Program," will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW Prime and WOWOW On Demand from 9:00 p.m. on October 19th. The interview program will explore the charm of Inaba through his music production in his solo activities and his latest live tour.
Inaba has been holding his nationwide solo live tour "Koshi Inaba LIVE 2024 ~enⅣ~" since June this year. The "en" in the tour title contains the meaning of the words and expressions that Inaba holds dear in his solo activities, the "en" that connects people, and the "en" that unites people. The program will center on interviews, and while interspersing footage of his latest tour and his career, it will delve into the thoughts he puts into his music production and live performances, including his latest album "Tadamono".
The special features from November onwards are as follows.
◇ "Koshi Inaba LIVE 2024 ~enⅣ~" (Broadcast and streamed on WOWOW Prime and WOWOW On Demand at 8pm on November 23rd)
From Inaba's latest solo tour "Koshi Inaba LIVE 2024 ~enⅣ~", we will deliver the live performance held at K Arena Yokohama (Nishi-ku, Yokohama) on July 21st this year. This tour started with the album "Tadamono", his first solo release in 10 years, and Inaba wrote unadorned words as "Tadamono" = "a person who is nobody" into melodies, making for a live performance that showed off his natural charm.
◇ "Takahiro Matsumoto/TMG Special Interview Program" (scheduled to be broadcast and streamed in December)
An interview program that delves into the appeal of the band "TMG" led by Matsumoto and his creative activities as a world-class guitarist. TMG announced their restart this year for the first time in 20 years, and have completed their new album "TMGⅡ" and will begin their nationwide tour "TMG LIVE 2024 -Still Dodging The Bullet-" in September. Through interviews with Matsumoto and TMG members, the program will delve into the creative activities and thoughts put into live performances of "guitarist Takahiro Matsumoto," who has produced numerous masterpieces in a wide range of solo projects and has been honored with a Grammy Award.
◇ "TMG LIVE 2024 -Still Dodging The Bullet-" (scheduled to be broadcast and streamed in January 2025)
This will bring you the final performance of TMG's nationwide tour "TMG LIVE 2024 -Still Dodging The Bullet-", which was held on October 12th at Tokyo Garden Theater (Koto-ku, Tokyo), after a 20-year hiatus. In addition to Jack Blades (B&Vo/Night Ranger) and Eric Martin (Vo/MR.BIG), who have been members since the band's formation, Matt Sorum (Dr/Guns N'Roses) and Yukihide "YT" Takiyama also participated in the tour.
