It has been announced that actor Asakawa Nana will star in the film "49 Days of Truth" (directed by Nakamae Yuji), scheduled for release in spring 2025.
The protagonist, Takahashi Madoka, played by Asakawa, holds a memorial service 49 days after her best friend died by suicide, and the film depicts a psychological battle to find the person who drove her friend to suicide. The film is a one-scene work in which emotions such as sadness and hatred swirl.
The film also takes on a long take of over 15 minutes, with Asakawa commenting, "In the long one-shot scenes, you can feel the tension of the actors and staff, which I think adds to the realism of the film. I hope everyone will enjoy it."
