Actor Shuri attended the production announcement of the drama series "Monster" (Kantele/Fuji TV, Mondays at 10pm, 15 minutes extended for the first episode), which she stars in and will start on October 14th, held in Tokyo recently.
This is a unique legal entertainment in which an enigmatic monster lawyer who faces opponents without being bound by common sense and without emotion takes on court battles as if playing a game. Shuri plays Kannami Ryoko, an unconventional rookie lawyer who passed the bar exam in her third year of high school. Shuri commented, "I get pressure easily, so I'm filming with the intention of facing the work sincerely, without thinking about the fact that this is my first time after appearing in a morning drama."
The press conference was also attended by Jesse, Uno Shohei, Otozuki Kei, Nakagawa Tsubasa, and YOU from the popular group "SixTONES," who are co-starring with her. When asked, "If you had to describe yourself as a 'monster'?" Shuri answered, "Conveyor belt sushi monster." Each person gave a unique answer: Jesse said "Pokemon," Uno said "Movie Monster," Otozuki said "BTS Oshikatsu Monster," and Nakagawa said "Rice Monster."
At the end of the press conference, Shuri appealed to viewers by saying, "We are filming every day with a truly wonderful cast and staff. I think the message of the drama will be different for each individual, but it deals with timely issues facing the modern world, so I hope you will think about it as entertainment. It is also very entertaining as pure legal entertainment, so I hope you will enjoy it until the end." Hata Reona, an announcer in her first year at KTV, acted as the moderator.
