It has been revealed that the third season of the TV anime "Oshi no Ko," based on the popular manga currently being serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha), will be produced. The 24th episode, "Wish," the final episode of the second season, was broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations on October 6th, and it was announced that the third season will be produced. The mysterious character who appeared as a man wearing sunglasses in the final episode was revealed to be "Kamiki Hikaru," and it was also announced that he will be played by Miyano Mamoru. It was also revealed that the mysterious silver-haired girl who appeared was "Tsukuyomi," played by Kino Hina.

A preview of the third season was also released on YouTube. While B-Komachi's new song "POP IN 2," which was debuted in the final episode, was playing, famous scenes from the second season were shown on screen, and at the end, a black shining star appeared in Ruby's eyes after she found out about Goro's death.

'Oshi no Ko' is a popular manga written by Akasaka Aka, who also wrote 'Kaguya-sama: Love is War', and illustrated by Yokoyari Mengo, who also wrote 'Scum's Wish'. It began serialization in 'Weekly Young Jump' in April 2020. The story depicts the twin brother and sister left behind by the sudden death of a genius idol named Ai. The twin sister, Ruby, admires her mother and enters the entertainment industry, while the brother, Aqua, vows to take revenge on their biological father, who is believed to have assisted in Ai's murder. In the serialization, the story has entered its "final chapter." The total number of copies of the comics published is over 18 million.

The first season of the TV anime aired from April to June 2023. The second season began airing in July this year, and the final episode aired on October 6th.

The live-action adaptation is also a hot topic, with the eight-episode drama being exclusively distributed on Prime Video from 9:00 pm on November 28th, and the movie being released nationwide on December 20th. The star-studded cast includes former member of the idol group "Nogizaka46" Saito Asuka as Ai, actor Sakurai Kaito as Aqua, and former member of the idol group "=LOVE" Saito Nagisa as Ruby.
