The winners of the 16th TAMA Film Awards (hosted by the TAMA Film Forum Executive Committee), known as the first domestic film award, were announced on October 3rd. The Best Picture award went to "All at Dawn" (directed by Miyake Sho) and "My Sun" (directed by Okuyama Daishi).

The Special Awards went to "I Am Alive, Two Worlds" (directed by Wu Miho) and "Look Back" (directed by Oshiyama Kiyotaka).

The Best Actor awards went to Fuji Tatsuya (The Great Absence) and Yoshizawa Ryo (I Am Alive, Two Worlds, Kingdom: Return of the General, Family), and the Best Actress awards went to Kamishiraishi Mone (All at Dawn) and Kawai Yumi (The Namibian Desert, Anno Koto, Look Back, When April Comes She Will).

The Best New Director Award went to Chikaura Kei, director of "The Great Absence," and Yamanaka Yoko, director of "The Namibian Desert." The Best New Actor Award went to Matsumura Hokuto ("All at Dawn," "Dear Family," "Kirie's Song"), Saito Jun ("Let's Go to Karaoke!", "The Eyelid's Transfer Student," "Teasing Master Takagi-san," "Right Desire"), and the Best New Actress Award went to Morita So ("Tatsumi," "Incorruptible Sakura," "Sayuri," "NN4444," "The Fool's Smile," "Right Desire") and Hayase Iku ("Diary of a Different Country," "Who is That Girl?").

The awards ceremony will be held on November 30th at the Parthenon Tama Grand Hall (Tama City, Tokyo).

Yumi Kawai (The Namibian Desert, Ankoto, Look Back, When April Comes She Will)

- Best New Director (Awarded for the most impressive director this year) (Awarded to the director who has made the greatest leap in the industry this year, or a new director who has made a remarkable achievement)
