It has been announced that the original soundtrack for the VR video "Mobile Suit Gundam: Phantom Rouge" from the popular anime "Gundam" series, "Mobile Suit Gundam: Phantom Rouge Theme Song & Original Soundtrack (Music: Ikeda Yoshiya)," will be released on November 20th. It will also include the theme song "ACROSS THE WORLD" sung by Nakagawa Shoko. The limited production version will be a limited edition analog record with a transparent light blue colored vinyl surface.
"Mobile Suit Gundam: Phantom Rouge" is set in U.C. 0096 (Universal Century 0096), and the protagonist belongs to Argent Kiel, an unofficial mercenary organization that is neither the Federation nor Zeon. The organization is tasked with assassinating Azami Megine, a high-ranking Federal official who is in collusion with Zeon, but just before the mission, the fleet is attacked by the Federal Army's Jegan unit, and in the midst of this chaos, a "silver Gundam" that they secretly own is released into space.
The film is co-produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks and Atlas V, a French VR production company that has worked on "Gloomy Eyes" and "Battlescar." Suzuki Kenichi will be directing, Kansai Ryoji will be writing the script, Kotobuki Tsukasa will be in charge of character design, and Akitaka Mika will be in charge of mechanical design. Nakagawa Shoko will be singing the theme song, "ACROSS THE WORLD." It will be available for Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest 3 from 2:00 AM on October 4th. It will cost 2,800 yen, and the pre-order price is 2,500 yen.
