The trailer for the first animated film based on the popular smartphone game "Project Sekai Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku (ProSeka)," featuring the virtual singer Hatsune Miku, "Project Sekai: The Broken World and Miku Who Can't Sing," has been released on YouTube. The video features all the characters from the game, with Hatsune Miku saying meaningful lines such as "I was calling out to the people I wanted to reach, but my song doesn't reach anyone..." and "Goodbye."
Visuals of each character, such as the unit members and virtual singers, as well as visuals of the film's keywords "World," "Virtual Singer," "'Owners of Thoughts,'" and "The World of Closed Windows," were also released.
The film has a completely original story, depicting a "new Hatsune Miku" not depicted in the game meeting the characters of "ProSeka" and growing up. It will be produced by P.A.WORKS, which also produced "True Tears" and "SHIROBAKO." Scheduled for release on January 17, 2025.
"Project SEKAI" is a rhythm game developed by Sega, the creators of the "Hatsune Miku Project DIVA" series, and Colorful Palette, a member of the CyberAgent Group, and launched in September 2020. It has become extremely popular, with over 39 million downloads worldwide.
