The original novel "The Eve of Touch.", the theme song for which will be performed by the music group "YOASOBI" for the original animated feature film "Furu." directed by Nagai Tatsuyuki, known for popular anime such as "Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day" and "Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda.", has been released on the official website. The novel is written by Okada Mari, who also wrote the screenplay for "Furu.", and it was also announced that a special message leaflet with a QR code that allows you to listen to a newly recorded voice drama of the novel will be distributed as the first giveaway to moviegoers from October 4th, the day of the film's release.
The voice drama for "The Eve of Touch." will feature the cast of "Furu.", including Nagase Ren as Onoda Aki, Bando Ryuta as Sobue Ryo, and Maeda Kentaro as Inohara Yuta.
Just like Anohana, Kokosake and Sora no Aosa wo Shiru Hito yo (Sora Ao), Okada will be writing the script for Touch, with character design by Tanaka Masayoshi, and the creative team Super Peace Busters will be reuniting. It will be produced by CloverWorks.
Onoda Aki, Sobue Ryo and Inohara Yuta are childhood friends who grew up on the same island, but when they turn 20, they move to Tokyo and start living together in Takadanobaba, Tokyo. Aki works part-time at a bar, Ryo is a new graduate at a real estate company, and Yuta is a vocational school student aspiring to become a fashion designer. Although their lives are all different, their hearts are always connected by the special power of touch, and each person's words flow to them without them having to say them. The friendship between the three people, connected by touch, changes due to a hidden "another power."
