It has been revealed that the second season of the TV anime "My Happy Marriage," based on the novel by Akumi Aoki from Fujimi L Bunko (KADOKAWA), will begin airing in January 2025. In the second season, the conflict over the blood of the blade that flows through Saimori Miyo reaches a new stage, and the love between Miyo and Hisado Kiyoka is put to the test.
The first teaser video for the second season has also been released on YouTube. The cast of new characters appearing in the video has also been announced, with Okiayu Ryutaro playing Kiyoka's father, Hisado Masakiyo, Inoue Kikuko playing Kiyoka's mother, Hisado Fuyu, and Uchida Yuya playing Amamizu Nao, the founder of the Innoshinkyo sect, which plots to overthrow society.
Okiayu commented, "I wondered at the recording site if this is what it feels like to meet the person my son will marry. She is just too cute (laughs). It doesn't matter what my son thinks of me. I want them to be happy. That's all I want, yeah yeah ♪ My character's partner is a very strong-willed person. Uchida said, "I am very honored to play the role of Amamizu Nao. I loved you so honestly, and I wiped everything away to protect my pure love without a single stain. That's why I will never forgive you. I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to record with Hidaka Noriko (who plays Miyo's mother, Usuba Sumi). Even if I think I am innocent, when there is transparency next to me, I can see my own dirt, and I instinctively felt that my mission as a tainted person is to protect this purity no matter what."
As with the first season, Kinema Citrus, which has produced "Made in Abyss" and "The Rising of the Shield Hero," will produce the anime. The directors will be Kubota Yudai, who worked on the first season, and Kojima Masayuki, who has worked on "Forest of Piano" and "Made in Abyss." As with the first season, the music will be handled by Evan Call, who has worked on "Furieren" and "The 13 Lords of the Kamakura."

The story is about Saimori Miyo, who was born into a prestigious family, but after her biological mother dies and she is abused by her stepmother and stepsister, she is ordered to marry Hisado Kiyotaka, a young soldier and head of a prestigious family who is rumored to be cold-hearted and merciless. A live-action movie starring Meguro Ren of the popular group Snow Man was released in 2023, which also became a hot topic.
The first season of the TV anime aired from July to September. With the start of the second season, the first season will be rebroadcast on TOKYO MX every Sunday at 12:30 am from October 6th. It will also be broadcast on BS11 every Monday at 11 pm from October 7th.
