On September 19th, actress Shuri attended the Fuji TV Drama Live 2024 Autumn event, a joint event for the network's October drama series, held at Fuji TV Wangan Studio (Koto-ku, Tokyo). Shuri, who stars in "Monster" (Mondays at 10pm), which starts on October 14th, promoted the drama together with her co-stars Otozuki Kei and Nakagawa Tsubasa.
Nakagawa attended the event in her silver-haired outfit, as the character she plays. MC Hidetsugu Shibata of the comedy duo "Untouchable" asked Shuri, "Don't you often work with people with silver hair in dramas? The last (season) was on a different network, though..." Shuri, who hadn't realized it herself, said with wide eyes, "That's true! That's right!"
The drama is a legal entertainment story about the mysterious monster lawyer Kanami Ryoko (Shuri), who is not bound by common sense and faces her opponents without emotion, facing legal battles as if they were a game.
As for the highlights, it was mentioned that Sugiura Yoshihiro, an elite lawyer and Tokyo University graduate played by Jesse from SixTONES, will repeatedly say "Huh?" "Jesse says 'Huh' a lot. (Kaminami) puts him in that situation, and (Sugiura) is just thrown around by it," he said, to which Otozuki nodded and said, "There are a lot of variations on 'Huh,' and the voice comes from an amazing place."
Jesse was absent on the day, and MC Yamazaki Hiroya asked, "Is (Jesse) doing it properly? He has an image of you messing around (laughs). Isn't he trying to make us laugh?" Shuri and Otozuki responded, "He does it a little bit... like puns (laughs). But it's very relaxing."
The main cast of Fuji TV's October dramas gathered on the day. Appearing on stage were Suzuka Hiroshi, Matsumoto Honoka, and Mikata Ryosuke from "Usouki Rhetoric" (Mondays 9pm), Sorimachi Takashi, Sugino Yosuke, and Shiraishi Mai from "Okura: Unsolved Case Investigation" (Tuesdays 9pm), and Fujiwara Tatsuya, Hirose Alice, and Kohinata Fumiyo from "All-Area Anomaly Solution Room" (Wednesdays 10pm).
Also appearing on stage were Matsumoto Wakana, Tanaka Kei, and Fukazawa Tatsuya from "My Treasure" (Thursdays 10pm), Miyase Ryuya and Ono Karin from "Snowdrop's First Love" (Tuesdays 11pm), and Suzuki Nobuyuki and Kurashina Kana from "Buntman" (Saturdays 11:40pm). The comedy duo "Untouchable" and announcer Niimi Yuka served as MCs.
