Meguro Ren, a member of the popular group Snow Man, stars in Fuji TV's "Monday 9" slot drama series "The Beginning of the Sea" (Mondays at 9pm). The synopsis and scene cuts for episode 11, which will air on September 16th, have been released.

Natsu Tsukioka (Meguro) is cleaning up her apartment to live with her daughter Umi Nagumo (Izumiya Sena). Her younger brother Yamato (Kido Daisei), who has come to help, says, "Call me if you're in trouble," but Natsu is firm and says, "We'll do our best together." Yamato's words make Yamato feel uneasy.

Meanwhile, a farewell party is held for Umi at her elementary school class, and Umi is sent off with applause from her homeroom teacher Nogi Natsumi (Yamatani Kasumi) and her classmates. On the way home, Umi and Natsumi ask if their late mother Mizuki (Furukawa Kotone) had ever said anything about her. Natsumi tells Umi, "You always said that Umi-chan is the most important to me," and Umi smiles.

As the day changes, Umi, Akane (Otake Shinobu), and Shohei (Toshiyuki Tsuyoshi) come to Natsu's apartment. "Excuse me!" Umi says loudly, and Shohei replies, "From today, you're 'I'm back.'"

Shohei and Akane hug Umi tightly and are sad to say goodbye. Seeing this, Natsu feels guilty... and so the story unfolds.

The drama is a completely original work with the theme of "parent-child love," and is written by Ikukata Miku, directed by Kazama Taiki, and produced by Murase Ken, reuniting the team behind "silent" from the October 2022 season.
