The 34th episode, "Awakening," of the NHK Taiga drama "To You Who Shines," starring Yoshitaka Yuriko, aired on September 8th, and featured voice actress Nishimura Chinami, known for her role as Sakanoue Ojarumaru in the popular NHK Educational TV anime "Ojarumaru." Nishimura said, "I was out when I received the offer to appear, but I couldn't help but speak out."

This time, Nishimura played Chikuzen no Myobu, the "wife who reads stories," and commented, "I'm surprised that the day has come when I'll appear in a Taiga drama." She said, "The wigs and the wife's costumes were so beautiful that I naturally straightened my back," and revealed, "The gorgeous set that colored the world of 'To You Who Shines' that I saw on TV was like a dream."

"I was confused by the unusual sensation of not reading too beautifully, not speaking in a ventral voice... but I enjoyed the offer and read the story spun by Fuji Shikibu with the feeling of sharing my heart with the ladies-in-waiting. The scene of women gathered together and chatting has not changed since the old days," Nishimura said, looking back on the scene.

Nishimura added, "I read through with the other cast members and it was strange to find myself in the world of 'To You, the Shining One'... I felt light-hearted from beginning to end." She added, "The ladies' costumes were also wonderful, and I was mesmerized by the smooth and vivid dressing by the costume staff... It was also exciting as it was my first time wearing a wig. I was surprised to get to put on the costume backstage just before filming. Once I put on the costume, rehearsals began immediately, and I had fun chatting harmoniously with the ladies-in-waiting during filming. I'm not the type to get nervous easily, but I was able to relax during this shoot, even though I was nervous, and it was a truly wonderful experience."

On the official website for "Hikaru Kimi e", a video has been released in which Nishimura recites "Utsusemi" from "The Tale of Genji" in the voice of Ojarumaru. "We are extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate on this program and to have had this wonderful connection, as the story is set in the same Heian period. I'd like to thank all the staff and cast members for all their help. Thank you so much! I'll continue to support 'Hikaru Kimi e'," he said.

"Hikaru Kimi e" is the 63rd taiga drama. Set in the aristocratic society of the mid-Heian period, the main character is Murasaki Shikibu (Mahiro), who later wrote "The Tale of Genji", said to be the oldest novel written by a woman in the world. The script was written by Oishi Shizuka, who is writing her second taiga drama since "Koumyou ga Tsuji" in 2006, and depicts the glittering world of Heian aristocrats and the life of a woman who lived, wrote and loved with all her heart.
