The 18th episode of the TV Asahi drama "I Will Smell With You ~ Shinsengumi Youth Records ~" (Wednesdays at 12:15am, excluding some regions) will be broadcast on August 28th at 12:15am.

It turns out that the people who kidnapped Namu-no-suke (Hayatani Shota) and sent him threatening letters were the remnants of the underlings of Nueno, a wealthy merchant with a feud with the Shinsengumi. Daisaku (Maeda Kentaro) suspects that this is a trap set by the Choshu clan, but Shinnojo (Mokushiro Kazuto), Fukakusa Kyojuro (Oku Tomoya), and others are anxious to rescue Namu-no-suke.

Learning of his junior's predicament, Sanosuke (Hiragi Taro) leads Shinnojo and the other junior members into enemy territory together with Saito (Shoji Kohei), knowing that helping Shinnojo, who has decided to quit, may violate the "rules" of the Shinsengumi. The moment comes when Shinnojo finally draws his sword to protect Namu-no-suke.

Meanwhile, Oka Juro, who witnessed the deep bond between Shinnojo and Namu-no-suke, apologizes to Daisaku for the time when he was living with his heart in vain, and the two once again connect with each other. However, the two face a "new separation"... Also, danger approaches the brothers Ito Koshitaro (Komamakine Akita) and Suzuki Mikisaburo (Matsumoto Jin).

From Okita Souji (Fujioka Makino) to Hijikata (Sakamoto Shogo), the "sincerity" held by each member becomes poignantly intertwined, and the Shinsengumi is once again shaken.

The drama is a live-action adaptation of Tezuka Osamu's manga "Shinsengumi" (1963), which is said to be a hidden masterpiece. It is a youth ensemble drama in which fictional young members of the Shinsengumi, Kamakiri Daisaku and Fukakusa Kyojuro, are tossed about by the waves of the times and face cruel fates. Billed as a "new period drama" that incorporates elements never before seen in period dramas, such as "innovative sword fighting" and "elegant sword dancing," it has been airing for two consecutive seasons since April.
