The key visual for the second season of the TV anime Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, based on the manga by Aida Iro currently being serialized in Monthly G Fantasy (Square Enix), Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun 2, has been released. Along with the catchphrase "Will you grant my wish?", the visual depicts a smiling Hanako-kun and Yashiro Nene with a full moon behind her and a tanzaku paper in hand. Character visuals of Hanako-kun, Yashiro Nene, and Minamoto Kou have also been released.
Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun is a comedy about Yashiro Nene, an occult girl who loves magic, and Hanako-kun, the seven mysteries of the school. The first season of the TV anime aired from January to March 2020. The comic series has sold over 10 million copies in total.
An anime restart project was announced in winter 2022, and the first installment, episodes 1 to 4 of the short anime After School Hanako-kun, aired in October 2023. The second installment, episodes 5 to 8 of "Hanako-kun After School" were broadcast and streamed over four weeks in October. The third installment, the second season of the TV anime "Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun 2", will be broadcast on 28 TBS affiliated stations nationwide from January 2025 every Sunday at 4:30 pm.
