It has been announced that a talk show commemorating the 35th anniversary of the release of the animated feature film "Venus Wars," directed by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, will be held on December 14th at Nakano Central Park South B1 Hall (Nakano Ward, Tokyo). Yasuhiko, Hara Eriko, who plays Su, Sasaki Yuko, who plays Miranda, animation director Sano Hirotoshi, and animation staff member Kawamoto Toshihiro will be appearing, along with special guest Uekusa Katsuhide, who plays Hiro.
The film was released in 1989, but it was also called a "phantom anime" because Yasuhiko declared it was "sealed." On the 30th anniversary of its release, Yasuhiko declared it was "unsealed," and the negative film was opened, which became a hot topic.
As a related event, a Venus Wars collaboration cafe, "Venus Cafe," has opened at Gallery Cafe Omega on the second floor of Nakano Broadway (same location). A collaboration menu will be served and related products will also be sold. Until January 20, 2025.
