Actress Erika Toda will make her first appearance on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), airing on May 22nd at 1 PM.
Nineteen years after her debut in the NHK Asadora drama series "Audrey" (late 2000), she revealed that she felt a sense of growth when she played the heroine in the 2019 morning Asadora"Scarlet." Her late father was a Shorinji Kempo master, and he strictly taught her manners and greetings. She reflects on her roots, including her father's words that encouraged her to move to Tokyo at the age of 16, and the love of her family that she felt when she returned home.
She says she cherishes spending time in nature and maintaining a calm mind through daily routines. At home, she grows herbs and enjoys cooking. In her latest film, "You're Going to Hell" (streaming on Netflix), she plays the turbulent life of Kazuko Hosoki, and speaks about her gratitude for life and her aspirations for the future.
