The fifth season of the TV anime " Rent-A-Girlfriend, " based on the romantic comedy manga by Reiji Miyajima serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), featured a "Kazuya's Full-On Delusions Version" that couldn't be shown during the broadcast, and this version was exclusively streamed on DMM TV.
Episode 50, "Rental Girlfriend -Karikano-," which aired from April 17th, featured some scenes in black and white with a white light over parts of the screen. However, the "Kazuya's Full-On Fantasy Version" is in color, the white light is gone, and you can fully enjoy the parts that weren't shown on broadcast. It will be available for streaming until May 6th. The "Kazuya's Full-On Fantasy Version" will also be included on the first volume of the Blu-ray disc.
" Rent-A-Girlfriend" tells the story of Kazuya, a 20-year-old hopeless college student who gets dumped by his girlfriend and then meets Chizuru, a beautiful girl who works as a rental girlfriend. The manga began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" in 2017. The first season of the TV anime aired from July to September 2020, the second season from July to September 2022, the third season from July to September 2023, and the fourth season from July to September 2025. The fifth season is currently airing on MBS, TBS, CBC's late-night anime block "Animeism," and other channels.
