Shiraishi Sei, who played Nao, the childhood friend of the protagonist Koichiro (Nakano) in the NHK Taiga drama "BROTHERS IN ARMS (Toyotomi Brothers!)" starring Nakano Taiga, visited the "NHK Taiga Drama Special Exhibition ' BROTHERS IN ARMS (Toyotomi Brothers!)'" held at the Tokugawa Art Museum in Nagoya. Nao met a tragic end in the 8th episode, "Sunomata One-Night Castle," which aired on March 1st, but Shiraishi revealed that she thought Koichiro (later Hidenaga) was a very proud and wonderful husband, even though they were never able to get married.
"BROTHERS IN ARMS (Toyotomi Brothers!)" is the 65th Taiga drama. With Toyotomi Hidenaga (Koichiro) as the protagonist, it depicts the miraculous feat of unifying Japan together with his older brother Hideyoshi (Tokichiro) through their strong bond, a success story of dreams and hopes.
The exhibition, which will be held in the same location from April 18 to June 14, will allow visitors to trace the world that Hidenaga and Hideyoshi actually created after Nao's death, as well as Hidenaga's successful career. Shiraishi spoke on behalf of Nao, saying, "I'm sure Nao would have been happy with this success, and I think she would have thought, 'My judgment wasn't wrong after all.'"
On this day, Shiraishi, who viewed the exhibition, said, "It is a very impressive museum, and I was able to see many exhibits, which made me stand up straighter. The exhibits themselves are in very good condition, and it was a valuable time to be able to see them while feeling the world of ' BROTHERS IN ARMS (Toyotomi Brothers!)'" She added, "The exhibits will change between the first and second halves of the exhibition, so I think that by seeing it not just once, but two or three times, you will be able to enjoy the depth of the historical drama ' BROTHERS IN ARMS (Toyotomi Brothers!)'. I would love for everyone to come and see it."
