It has been announced that "Inokorigumi," a new stage play written and directed by Koki Mitani and starring actor Shun Oguri , will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW in June. The play was performed at five venues including Tokyo, Niigata, and Osaka from January 30 to March 29 of this year.
The story takes place in an elementary school classroom after school hours. A mother of a child suddenly shows up demanding, "I want my son's teacher changed!", and the young teacher, veteran teacher, and the homeroom teacher in question engage in a thrilling and humorous exchange in this one-situation dialogue drama.
The role of the young teacher is played by Shun Oguri, who played the lead role of Shun Oguri Yoshitoki in the NHK Taiga drama " The 13 Lords of the Shogun, " for which Mitani wrote the script. The role of the so-called "monster parent" mother is played by Rinko Kikuchi, in her stage debut. Kami Hiraiwa plays the homeroom teacher, and Kazuyuki Aijima, a regular in Mitani's works, plays the veteran teacher. The tense psychological battle between the four leads to an ending that defies the viewer's expectations. It is a work that skillfully depicts the unease and tension lurking in the extension of everyday life.
