The entire " Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba " anime series, based on the popular manga by Koyoharu Gotouge , will be rebroadcast on Fuji TV and other channels every Sunday at 9:30 AM starting April 5th. The first episode of " Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc," titled "Cruelty," will air on April 5th at 9:30 AM.
It was the Taisho era, and Tanjiro Kamado was living a simple but happy life in the mountains with his family. One day, when Tanjiro returned to the mountains after selling charcoal in town, he found his family had been attacked by a demon and were lying dead in a pool of blood. Desperate to save his younger sister Nezuko, the only one who had survived, Tanjiro carried her on his back and made his way down the snowy mountain in the falling snow. Along the way, Nezuko suddenly let out a growl and attacked Tanjiro.
"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Kimetsu no Yaiba" tells the story of Tanjiro Kamado, whose family is killed by demons, and who joins the Demon Slaying Corps in order to turn his sister Nezuko, who has been transformed into a demon, back into a human. The original manga was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 2016 to 2020. The comics have sold over 220 million copies worldwide.
The TV anime "Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc" aired from April to September 2019, and the theatrical film "Mugen Train" was released in October 2020. "Entertainment District Arc" aired from December 2021 to February 2022, "Swordsmith Village Arc" from April to June 2023, and "Hashira Training Arc" from May to June 2024. The first of the three-part "Infinity Castle Arc," "Akaza's Return," was released on July 18, 2025, and has been a huge hit, grossing over 40 billion yen at the box office.
