On March 28th, NHK E-TV's children's program "Okaasan to Issho" (Monday-Saturday, 7:45 AM) aired an episode marking the graduation of Akimoto Anzuki, also known as "Azuki-oneesan," who served as the show's first gymnastics instructor.
On that day, the program featured footage from a "Family Concert" held in Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture, showing the energetic singing and dancing of the older brothers and sisters on stage. At the end of the program, Akimoto and the new "dance sister," Ange, appeared to give a greeting.
Akimoto smiled and said, "I hope everyone I love can continue to smile. Thank you everyone!" Then Ange joined in, and they finished by performing "Karada☆Dandan" and "Kinrakira Pon," concluding her seven-year role as the gymnastics instructor.
Akimoto began rhythmic gymnastics at the age of six and competed as an athlete for 13 years. From April 2019 for seven years, she served as the first gymnastics instructor. On Wednesdays, she hosted the "Ota Magic Show" segment, where she played sound quizzes with her "friends," and she also performed well-coordinated acrobatic gymnastics routines with the current gymnastics instructor, Kazumu Sakumoto, also known as "Kazumu-oniisan."
The program aired a week-long special titled "Anzuki-nee-san Special" starting March 23rd, featuring a quiz segment looking back on seven years of memories and plenty of rhythmic gymnastics-related activities. Anzuki will become a regular cast member starting with the March 30th broadcast.
