Noel Kawashima of the popular group "Travis Japan" appeared at the opening lineup announcement event held on March 25th at "EX Theater Ariake," a new theater within "Tokyo Dream Park," a multi-purpose entertainment complex opening in Ariake, Tokyo on the 27th. He delighted the audience by revealing that he holds "24" certifications.
Kawashima will co-star with Ueda Tatsuya in the stage play "Knockin' on Locked Door THE STAGE," which will be performed at the same venue in October. The play is based on the popular novel series by Aozaki Yugo. It is a thrilling mystery in which two detectives who respect each other solve one mysterious and difficult case after another that comes their way. In 2023, it was adapted into a drama series on TV Asahi starring Matsumura Hokuto of "SixTONES" and Nishihata Daigo of "Naniwa Danshi," which became a hot topic. The stage play will be directed by Tsutsumi Yukihiko, who also directed the drama series.
When asked what she would like to start doing this spring as the new fiscal year begins, Kawashima smiled and said, "I'd like to get a large vehicle driver's license. It's cool to be able to drive a big truck." She continued, "I currently have about 24 qualifications, and I recently got my small boat license, so I'm really motivated right now. I want to get a large vehicle license while I'm still in this momentum." She also said she would like to get a forklift license, and appealed, "Please let me do things like loading and unloading (at the theater)!"
On this day, Ueda appeared on stage with director Tsutsumi. Also present were Masahiko Kawahara, director of the opening performance "AmberS" (April-May), and co-stars Kazuya Ohashi and Takuto Teranishi; Hidenori Inoue, director of the Gekidan Shinkansen 46th Anniversary Summer Performance "Akechiko! ~The Black Diamond of Steam, or the Island of Madness~" (June-July), and cast member Arata Furuta; Yuna Koyama, translator and director of the musical "Dear Evan Hansen" (July-August); Hikaru Iwamoto, star of the musical "Time Traveler's Wife" (September); Kaori Kobayashi, director of the musical "Me and My Girl" (December), and star Hiroki Miura; and Yuichi Fukuda, director of the musical "Monty Python's SPAMALOT" (January 2027), and star Takanori Iwata.
