Talent Anna Umemiya will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which airs at 1 PM on March 23rd.
Last May, Ms. Umemiya spoke about her battle with breast cancer on the same program. Shortly after the recording, she met a man and remarried him in a surprise move just 10 days later. The side effects of her cancer treatment had subsided, and she was beginning to regain her energy when a classmate suggested, "Why don't you go meet someone?"
Her husband is unfamiliar with the entertainment industry and initially had the image of Anna from when she caused a stir on talk shows, asking "Is that the troublemaker?" He wasn't enthusiastic at first, but after learning about Anna's battle with illness through an internet search, he became interested in meeting her. He said that the moment he met her for the first time, he had a sudden realization that "I'm going to marry this person!" and they got married just 10 days later. Umemiya received a message from her husband. Because they got married just 10 days after meeting, they sometimes clash, but they say that arguing is the secret to their happy marriage.
