The third episode of the drama series "Winter Something, Spring Something" (Nippon TV, Wednesdays at 10pm), starring actress Sugisaki Hana, was broadcast on January 28th, and the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 3.0% for households and 1.5% for individuals.
The drama is an original love story directed by Imaizumi Rikiya, known for films such as "Love is Hard" (2019) and "Undercurrent" (2023). Novelist Fumina looks back on her past relationships in order to seriously confront her current partner.
Sugisaki will play Tsuchida Fumina, a novelist who, influenced by her various past romantic experiences, has avoided "falling in love properly" and "facing people properly," while Narita Ryo will play Fumina's boyfriend, Saeki Yukio.
The subtitle of episode 3 is "The Distance and the Timing." It's the end of the year. Fumina returns to her hometown in Toyama for a mini-reunion with her high school friends. Her ex-boyfriend, Shibasaki Hide (Kura Yuki), is also there. At the karaoke after-party, the two get excited about the reasons why they broke up. Shibasaki, intimidated by the long-distance relationship, broke up without even trying when Fumina moved to Tokyo. They now each have their own partners. The next day, Shibasaki, whom they had just met the day before, calls and asks, "Can we meet up tomorrow?"... and so the story unfolds.
