It has been announced that Daisuke Sakuma of the popular group Snow Man will be appearing as a voice actor in the TV anime "Killua," based on the latest work by Tadatoshi Fujimaki, known for the popular manga "Kuroko's Basketball." Sakuma will play Shin Konamisame, an eccentric assassin whose trademark is his pink hair and pacifier.
Koba Same Shin is a hitman sent by the Chinese assassination organization Yuigan to the junior high school where the protagonist, Ookami Juzo, attends in order to target Mitsuoka Noren. If he loses his pacifier, he becomes extremely nervous and is unable to converse properly with people. Sakuma commented, "I've been reading Killuao since it was serialized in the magazine, and since then, Koba Same Shin has been my favorite character, so I was determined to get the role when I auditioned. I'm very happy that I've been given the opportunity to voice Shin. Shin is cool, but a little strange. Serious, but a little strange. I'll put my heart and soul into voicing him so that I can fully express all of those aspects. Thank you very much."
The series is a "youth redo" action comedy that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from April 2023 to September 2025. One day, 39-year-old Juzo Ookami, a "legendary assassin," is stung by a mysterious bee and turns into a 13-year-old. While attending junior high school, he faces various cases and battles with assassins.
The anime will be directed by Hiro Kaburagi, known for the "Kimi ni Todoke" series and "GREAT PRETENDER," and produced by CUE, led by Rui Kuroki, who produced "Kuroko's Basketball." It will begin airing on TV Tokyo from April.
