"Golden Kamuy Golden Kamuy Character Remix Sugimoto Saichi" (Shueisha), which focuses on Sugimoto Saichi, the protagonist of Satoru Noda's popular manga "Golden Kamuy," was released on January 19th. This is the latest release in Shueisha's comic series "JUMP Character REMIX," which is based on the concept of "the ultimate solo character book to read in manga!" and contains a carefully selected collection of episodes depicting the life of the immortal Sugimoto.
This book will allow readers to fully enjoy how the immortal Sugimoto, who returned from the Russo-Japanese War, walked the northern lands, challenged the battle for the gold with his partner, and survived. As interludes between episodes, it contains "The Pursuit of the Gold Battle," which spins the story, and "A Guide to Living in the Northern Lands," which introduces the knowledge Sugimoto learned from Asirpa.
Following "Golden Kamuy Character Remix Sugimoto Saichi," "Golden Kamuy Character Remix Ogata Hyakunosuke" will be released on February 19th, and "Golden Kamuy Character Remix Tsurumi Tokushiro" will be released on February 18th. All three volumes feature original illustrations by Noda on the cover. A double-sided poster featuring the cover illustration is included. Digital versions of each volume will also be available. The digital version of "Golden Kamuy Character Remix Sugimoto Saichi" is scheduled to be released on February 10th.
"Golden Kamuy" is a manga serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha) from 2014 to 2022. The story follows "Immortal Sugimoto," a former veteran of the Russo-Japanese War, as he uncovers clues to buried treasure hidden by a death row inmate in Hokkaido and embarks on an adventure with a group of Ainu girls. The series has sold over 30 million copies in total. The final chapter of the TV anime is currently airing on TOKYO MX, Yomiuri TV, Hokkaido Broadcasting, BS11, and other networks.
