To commemorate the second season of the TV anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," based on the manga currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan), which will begin airing on January 16, 2026, five of Shogakukan's girls' and women's manga magazines will include collaboration supplements with the series. All items will feature illustrations from the original work.
The first issue of "Sho-Comi" for 2026, released on December 5th, will come with a "Heartwarming! Famous Scene Memo" memo pad featuring designs of famous scenes, the February 2026 issue of "Cheese!", released on December 24th, will come with a "SNS-style clear card that you can stack and support" designed to look like a social media posting screen, and the February 2026 issue of "Monthly Flowers", released on December 27th, will come with a B5-sized clear file as an attachment.
The February 2026 issue of BetsuComi, which will be released on January 13, 2026, will come with a Frieren paper craft called "Paper Frieren," and the March 2026 issue of Petit Comic, which will be released on February 6, 2026, will come with photo-style cards of Frieren, Himmel, Heiter, and Eisen.
"Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" is a manga written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, which began serialization in Weekly Shonen Sunday in April 2020. Freiren is a magician in the hero's party who defeated the Demon King. Being an elf, Frieren lives a long life. After experiencing the death of a companion, she embarks on a journey to "discover people." The manga has been selected for the Manga Taisho 2021, the 25th Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prize Newcomer Award, the 69th (2023) Shogakukan Manga Award, and the 48th Kodansha Manga Award in the Boys' category. The manga has sold over 32 million copies.
The first season of the TV anime aired on Nippon Television's anime slot "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT" from September 2023 to March 2024. The second season will air in the same slot every Friday at 11:00 PM starting January 16, 2026.
