It has been announced that the TV anime "The Villainess Is Adored by the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom," based on the "doting" villainous lady light novel by Puni-chan from B's Log Bunko (KADOKAWA), will begin airing on TOKYO MX and other channels from January 11, 2026. Information on the theme songs has also been announced, revealing that voice actress and singer Takagaki Ayahi and actor Shirota Yu will be performing the opening theme (OP) "Ai no Fanfare" and the ending theme (ED) "Magical Sound" as "Takagaki Ayahi feat. Shirota Yu." The main PV has been released, showcasing the songs.
Takagaki said, "I'm Takagaki Ayahi, and this time I'll be singing the opening and ending themes with Shirota Yu. I myself love otome games, so I've imagined countless times, 'I wish I could enter that world...'! I'm truly honored to be involved in this production as an artist. And to think that I'll be singing with Shirota, who watched from the audience in the theater! I still feel like I'm dreaming. The opening theme, 'Fanfare of Love,' is a cute and pop song that makes your heart beat faster just by listening to it. The ending theme, 'Magical Sound,' is a dramatic duet. Additional cast members have also been announced, including Yamada Marina as Aishira, the daughter of the Duke of Pearlant; Junichi Suwabe as Keith, the king of forest fairies; Midorikawa Hikaru as Crail, the king of sky fairies; and Furihata Ai as Pearl, the king of sea fairies.
Yamada commented, "I am very happy and honored to be able to continue to play Aishira from the game. This time, I will once again face and accompany Aishira, doing my best to portray the pure and straightforward love of a 14-year-old. I will do my best to deliver the charm that only anime can bring to everyone who has encountered the work through the original manga and the game. Suwabe said, "I will continue to play the role of Keith, the forest fairy king, in the anime. The anime will be directed by Hamana Takayuki and produced by Studio Deen.
