◇The following contains spoilers.
In episode 7, a serial murder case targets classmates one after another. Despite Takagi and Sonoko's (Araki) efforts to stop the murders, a fourth victim is finally found. The body of Otani (Akama Mariko), the former homeroom teacher of Class 6-1, is discovered.
A farewell party for Otani is held, and Takagi, Sonoko, and Koyama (Shintaro Morimoto) are criticized by their classmates. Takagi feels responsible for dragging everyone down, and he coldly speaks to Tsuchiya (Ayame Goriki) and Toyokawa, who want to help, and the mood between him and Koyama becomes tense, leading to him being isolated.
Meanwhile, Koyama becomes worried when he is unable to contact Chonmage, also known as Hatachi (Mori Yusaku), and goes into Hatachi's apartment to search for clues. He then finds an old cell phone in his room, which contains videos from his elementary school days. Tsuchiya and Toyokawa then arrive. The three of them go around to the homes of their classmates looking for clues... and so the story unfolds.
Afterwards, Takagi and his friends go to the snack bar "Imakuni." There, Takagi learns from a video found by Koyama that the group of friends he thought consisted of six actually has a seventh member, "Mori." Furthermore, when he learns that Hatachi had made an appointment on an elementary school social networking site with a "doctor" who is believed to be Mori, Takagi and his friends head to the meeting place to rescue Hatachi.
Having found Hadachi, Takagi, Koyama, Toyokawa and the others split up and chase after the person hiding their face, who they believe to be the fugitive "Mori." As Koyama chases the fleeing person, yelling, "Wait a minute, you!", Toyokawa appears from the direction the fugitive had run as soon as he turns a corner. Koyama nearly collides with Toyokawa and asks in surprise, "Huh? Why?"
On social media, many voices expressed suspicion towards Toyokawa, who appeared with his face hidden from the direction the person had fled. Comments included, "There's something strange about the way Toyo and Turbo collided," "It was really suspicious when Turbo and Toyo collided," "Doesn't Toyo seem suspicious? Is he okay? Didn't Toyo suddenly appear when Turbo was chasing him, or did he seem like he wanted to say something at Imakuni?", "It's strange that Toyo and the fugitive didn't pass each other," and "I think Toyo is one of the people helping the chase. It seems strange that he bumped into Turbo."
