Stills from the December episode of "Ultraman Omega," the newest installment in the special effects drama "Ultraman" series, were released on November 25th. Episode 22, "Stargazer," which will air on December 13th, is an important episode that will reveal the past of the main character, Ookida Sorato (Ultraman Omega). It has also been announced that actor Yukijiro Hotaru, who has appeared in numerous science fiction and special effects films such as "Gamera: Guardian of the Universe," will play a mysterious character who knows Sorato's past and appears in episode 22.
In episode 22, Sorato and Hoshimi Kousei catch a mysterious signal, and the person who rescued Sorato when he had just fallen to Earth appears before them. The meaning of the mysterious line "Nagilegrata" spoken by Zovaras in episode 15 will also be revealed.
Hotaru commented, "'There are only two types of movies: movies with monsters and movies without them.' This is a famous quote from my friend, director Amemiya Keita. Ever since I met him, I've loved special effects movies and I have a strong opinion: 'Monsters should only be in costumes.' After watching suit actors for many years, I've come to believe that their 'monster art' should be passed down. In that sense, this drama is important. My role this time is a man who tells the mystery of the birth of Omega. I have long lines that tell a long story. It was difficult... 'Fewer lines, more pay!' That's important, isn't it?"
"Ultraman Omega" stars Okida Sorato, an alien (Ultraman) who suddenly falls from the sky onto an Earth where neither heroes nor monsters exist. Sorato transforms into Ultraman Omega and fights monsters, teaming up with the Earthling Hoshimi Kosei to explore the question, "Why does Ultraman protect the Earth?" Takei Masayoshi, known for "Ultraman R/B" and "Ultraman Decker," serves as main director, with Nemoto Toshizo and Ashiki Junichiro handling series composition. Actor Shori Kondo plays the lead character, Sorato. The series airs every Saturday at 9:00 AM on TV Tokyo.
