The seventh episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama "The Royal Family" (Sundays at 9pm), starring Satoshi Tsumabuki, will be broadcast on November 23rd.
In the previous episode, Kozo (Koichi Sato), who was diagnosed with cancer, announced that he and Royal Hope would retire after the 2018 Arima Kinen. On the day of the Arima Kinen, Kozo watched Hope's final run from the hospital. At Nakayama Racecourse, Kozo's illegitimate son, Koichi (Ren Meguro), was present.
It was raining heavily at the time of the race. Hope came in second, unable to celebrate his retirement with a victory. Kurisu (Tsumabuki) was relieved to hear Kozo say, "I can't die with a loss. I'll have to find a wife for Hope." Then Kurisu saw an email from Koichi saying, "I'd like to meet you sometime."
In episode 7... Kozo spends his days in frustration as Koichi continues to reject his relationship. Kurisu ponders how to make their relationship work.
Retired Royal Hope heads to Kanako's (Wakana Matsumoto) Nozaki Farm to preserve his bloodline. At that time, Koichi contacts him and asks to meet Kozo because he has something to tell him. With Kurisu's help, the two meet, but they soon get into an argument and Koichi is unable to say what he wanted to say.
Kurisu is troubled by not being able to hear Koichi's true feelings. When she consults Kanako, she is told that Koichi is not opposed to Kozo, but is instead worried about him...
Kurisu arranges another opportunity for them to meet and makes a proposal, but Koichi does not accept it. Wanting to do something, Kurisu calls Koichi outside to find out his true feelings, and Koichi finally opens up. What he says is so unexpected that even the trainer, Hironaka (Ando Masanobu), is stunned. Kurisu and Kozo are left speechless by Koichi's unexpected proposal...
Based on the novel of the same name by Kazuma Hayami (Shincho Bunko), Eiji Kurisu, who admired his father, a tax accountant, but experienced setbacks and lost hope. However, his life takes a major turn when he meets horse owner Kozo Sanno.
