After the two families met, Katsuo invited Ayumi (Kaho) to go to an amusement park with Torakichi's family. As they spread out a picnic blanket and eat their lunch, Katsuo tries to tell Torakichi's wife Megumi (Nishihara Aki) how he felt about the taste. However, Torakichi points out, "Just eat it and stop complaining." When Katsuo tells her his true intentions, "I thought my feelings would be conveyed better if I told you my thoughts properly," Megumi is pleased and says, "I'm happy to hear your thoughts about the taste."
Torakichi, surprised by Megumi's reaction, reflected, "I hated it when my dad would criticize every single thing my mom cooked. I guess I used him as a bad example." He revealed that he had tried to avoid criticizing the food, like Katsu did, by saying that the side dishes were all brown. Katsuo, on the other hand, admitted that he had unconsciously imitated Katsu.
On social media, people were talking about the show, saying things like, "Even with the same parents, you may unconsciously imitate others or use them as a negative example, so in the end it's up to the individual," "There's no doubt that family has a big influence, but that's not all. Torakichi's whole family was wonderful," "Katsuo's father...he has a son who is similar to the one he uses as a negative example," "Katsuo's older brother was a wonderful person who used his father as a negative example and is able to accept a variety of values," and "As a creator, I don't think they'd be able to criticize it, but I wish they would at least give their opinions."
