Aoi (Ozawa Ryushin) jumps out of a moving car and is taken to the hospital. Isobe (Nakamura Masatoshi) and Itsuki (Kusanagi) rush to the scene after receiving a call from the police and learn that Aoi has been caught up in an illegal part-time job while trying to raise money to pay for Isobe's legal fees. Aoi, who is on probation, takes the fact that he was attempting to commit a crime, even if it was an attempted one, very seriously and offers to resign. However, Isobe raises his voice in anger, and Itsuki expresses his feelings.
At the Mikuriya household, Makoto (Yuri Nakamura) is determined to confront Toshito (Jun Kaname). When Toshito realizes that Itsuki has moved his obedient wife, he refuses to respond properly.
On Koharu's (Jun Fubuki) birthday, Itsuki, Makoto, and Riku (Nagase Yahiro) throw her a birthday party. It's her "last birthday party" since she's been told she only has three months to live. Itsuki visits Riku's apartment with a present he made for her, and smiles at the sight of Koharu and Riku having fun like grandmother and grandson. Koharu also smiles at the sight of the two of them, but...
A few days later, "Heaven's Messenger" receives a request. The deceased is the young team leader of "Mikuriya Holmes," who took his own life. Isobe is stunned to learn that, just as he had heard from Hatano (Furukawa Yudai), the tragedy continues even now, 10 years after his son's death. Itsuki is tasked with sorting out the deceased's belongings...
The script is by Miyuki Takahashi. The story follows Itsuki Torikai (played by Kusanagi), a single-parent estate organizer raising a young child, as he and his colleagues at the estate organizer work with families facing various challenges.
