A preview of the next episode, "Son" (November 26th), of the popular detective drama "AIBOU Season 24" (TV Asahi, Wednesdays at 9pm), starring Mizutani Yutaka and Terawaki Yasufumi, has been released, and attention is focused on the guest actor.
In episode 7, Satoyoshi, a young man whom Kakuta (Yamanishi Jun), the head of the Drug and Firearms Control Division, had his eye on, disappears, and Ukyo (Mizutani) and Kaoru (Terawaki) of the Special Task Force launch a search. It turns out that Satoyoshi suddenly quit his part-time job and vacated his apartment. The head of the organization he moved into is a businessman named Nagate Kengo, who is actively working with the government's approval.
Although Nagate talks about his philosophy of "supporting the weak," there seems to be something cryptic about him, and Ukyo and Kaoru begin investigating, believing that he may know something about Satoyoshi's whereabouts. The Special Missions Unit closes in on the secret of this utopia where "people disappear."
The role of Nagate, the charismatic leader who saves the weak, is played by actor Yano Masato. Yano has a wide range of work, including stage, TV, and film, and has also been a hot topic for his role as Ookuwagata Oger/Lacres Hasty in the 2023-2024 Super Sentai series "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger." This year, he also attracted attention for his role as "the man who was Joemon," a man operating in the shadows of the city, in the NHK Taiga drama "UNBOUND (Berabou): Tsutajueika no Yumebanashi." He also appeared in a different role in episodes 13 and 14 of season 16 of "Aibou" (aired in January 2018).
On social media, there were many comments such as "It's Lord Lacles!!!" "It's Lord UNBOUND. He's the man who played Joemon in the Taiga Berabou series," "Lord Lacles...no, the man who played Joemon has been reincarnated," and "Following the Taiga UNBOUND, he's playing another crazy role!! (great joy)."
In the trailer, Nagate is introduced as "a hero who saves the weak," which led to comments such as, "A hero who saves the weak... will he play another dark hero role?" and "Is he completely evil, or a necessary evil? He looks evil, but is he actually a good person? I can't wait to see which one it is."
